Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGBBasic research is a prerequisite for the applications of tomorrow. Hence, Fraunhofer IGB maintains close contacts with neighboring universities, both through scientific cooperation and through professorial or other teaching commitments of Fraunhofer employees. In addition, our branches in Straubing and Leuna have enabled us to extend our scientific network to locations outside of Stuttgart.
Fraunhofer IGB is particularly closely allied to the Institute of Interfacial Process Engineering and Plasma Technology IGVP at the University of Stuttgart through various teaching activities as well as joint operations.
