Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGBUsing modern simulation tools (CHEMCAD, Aspen), the developed processes are evaluated, in cooperation with our project partners, regarding energy and raw material efficiency, thus supporting further development.
Together with project partners, we plan and build research plants – for example, for homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic reactions in the flow reactor or distillation processes – and put them into operation. Modern simulation tools such as AspenPlus are used to draw up mass and energy balances and scale them up to pilot scale.
