6th International Bioeconomy Conference

The International Bioeconomy Conference, organised by the ScienceCampus Halle and the Leading-Edge Cluster BioEconomy, provides stakeholders with an ideal forum for learning about major developments, discussing innovation and establishes ties to representatives from their industry. The motto of the International Bioeconomy Conference 2017 will be “Circular Bioeconomy. Bio meets Economy – Science meets Industry”.

Besides flavours, fragrances, nutraceuticals, cereals and wood based products the conference also focuses on plant-based oils and value chains of the bioeconomy. France is this year’s partner country and will be presented with well-known speakers from research and business. In addition to that results and approaches of the Bioeconomy Model Region of Central Germany will be discussed in special subsessions.

The highlight of this year’s conference is a higher focus on networking opportunities such as on our networking dinner after the first conference day at 7:00 pm in the Moritzburg.

As a pre-event meeting you will have the opportunity to find out about funding, networking chances and important stakeholders in the European bioeconomy as part of the Lunch Lounge held on May 10 from 12:30 – 2:00 pm.

Participation is fee-based (50 €) but is free of charge for students and PhD but requires registration. As the number of participants is limited, approval of attendee follows a first-come-first-serve rule.
