Dr. Jakob Barz has been working at Fraunhofer IGB since 2003, before which he studied physics at the University of Stuttgart focusing on solid-state physics. In 2010, he received his PhD in plasma physics and plasma chemistry. He is a senior scientist for Plasma Technology and Surface Analysis in the Functional Surfaces and Materials research field and is responsible for surface analytics as a study director.
