Sophie Vaaraniemi is the Head of Admininstration at Fraunhofer IGB since August 2023. She studied economics at the University of Hohenheim and at the University of Hagen. Prior to joining Fraunhofer, the Finnish-French economist worked in various management positions in plant construction and the food industry. Throughout her career, she has focused on process optimization in combination with lean methods and lean thinking.
