Dr. Melanie Iwanow joined Fraunhofer IGB, Straubing branch in 2014 for an internship, followed by her master thesis in 2015 and her PhD thesis (2015-2019) in cooperation with the University of Regensburg. As a PhD student, she worked on the preparation of supported metal catalysts by developing a new method based on deep eutectic solvents. In 2019 she started working in the innovation field Bioinspired Chemistry as a scientist and has been leading the activities in the area of biohybrid materials since 2021.
