Industrial Biotechnology | Bioprocess Scale-up

Dr. Katja Patzsch has been the acting head of the Innovation Field Industrial Biotechnology since 2020 and is the group leader of the Bioprocess scale-up since 2012. She studied Biochemical Engineering at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and has a PhD in engineering. In 2009 she joined Fraunhofer IGB and supported both the construction of Fraunhofer CBP and the engineering and building procsses of the biotechnological equipment. She aquired technical experience in the field of development and scale-up of bioprocess technologies, including up- and downstream processing.
