Patzsch, Katja Dr.-Ing.

Industrial Biotechnology | Bioprocess Scale-up

Dr. Katja Patzsch has been acting head of the Innovation Field Industrial Biotechnology since 2020 and group leader of the Bioprocess scale-up since 2012. She studied biochemical engineering at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and holds a PhD in engineering. 2009 she joined Fraunhofer IGB and was supporting the construction of the Fraunhofer CBP as well as the engineering and building/constructing phase of the biotechnological equipment. She gained her technical experience in the field of development and scale-up of bioprocess technologies including up- and downstream processing.
