Sustainable Catalytic Processes | Senior Scientist Chemical Catalysts

Since 2013, Lénárd Csepei has been working at Fraunhofer IGB BioCat, Straubing branch where he currently coordinates the heterogeneous catalysis project portfolio of the Innovation Field "Sustainable catalytic processes". Literally as well as figuratively following in the footsteps of Joseph von Fraunhofer, he turned his attention to technology transfer for power-to-X and CO2 conversion processes. He acquired and worked on several national and EU H2020 projects. Besides that, he also carried out 15 consulting projects serving different industrial branches: flavors & fragrances, energy, agrochemicals, food & feed, aviation and waste management.

    • Heterogeneous catalytic processes
    • Methanol, ethylene, propylene and their value chain
    • Ammonia synthesis
    • Combined chemical and biotechnological processes
    • Techno-economic analysis on renewable synthesis processes
